My Alaska Life

Cottonwood trees are some of the largest trees in this part of Alaska and for some reason the beavers like to chew on them. Since beavers like to build dams with lots of small sticks I really wonder why they want to take down large trees like this. These trees will eventually fall into the river now. Amazing that such massive trees are taken down by such a small animal.
