My Alaska Life

The river water has been really high this Spring – at flood stage in some places. This old cabin has been on the banks of the Susitna as long as I can remember but it looks like it may fall in this year. I guess people used to use this cabin but for the last 10 years no one has been there. Still it’s a landmark that I enjoy seeing as we pass by. If he high water takes away any more of the bank it looks like it’s going to fall in. It wouldn’t be the first building to be taken by the mighty Susitna.
