I went to the Wildlife Conservation Center on the Turnagain Arm for the first time ever. I never usually like seeing animals in captivity. I get sad for the animals. But I didn’t feel bad for these animals. I think most of them are rescues. The center has acres and acres of land and each pen is huge. The animals seem happy. Jeff has seen brown bear in the wild but I never have so I was pretty excited to see these brown bears up close and personal. They were only a few feet away from me with just a fence between us. These pics are of a mama bear and her cub. They are such big and intimidating animals, even the cub. I got an close-up pic of the claws and teeth on the mama bear. Wow!
