My Alaska Life

Alaska doesn’t have hurricanes but we have windstorms that can feel like a hurricane with hurricane force winds. Yesterday we had one of those windstorms. Winds gusted up to probably 70 mph and could have been higher. The cabin was shaking and anything not tied down was getting blown over or rattling and shaking, the snow was blowing across the river and the yard and covering up trails and making big drifts in the snow. And the blowing snow and gusting north wind were so cold. I tried to stay indoors most of the day and night.
