Dip Netting opened on the Susitna River for the month of July on Saturdays and Wednesdays only. We went yesterday and spent most of day on the river trying to dipnet a fish with no luck. It’s a hard river to dipnet because the water is so deep and so fast. It’s hard to even hold a net in the current so we tried to pull off on a bank but then the water was too shallow. We may try again another day hoping for better luck.
