"Tales of the Trapline" by Janette Ross Riehle" is the true story of a family's adventurous move to Alaska in the 1930's told by the daughter who lived it. It details Janette's family's new life as they began homesteading in the Matanuska Valley and on Alexander Creek, near Susitna Station where I spend my time. This book is so well written. It's a must read!
