We took a drive up north and along the way there was so much fireweed seeded out it looked white everywhere. Normally in bloom fireweed is bright pink. Pretty soon snow will really make everything white. In the first picture even though the forests are regrowing and people are rebuilding you can still see damage along the highway from the huge Sockeye fire of 2015.
