My Alaska Life

Here is me planting in the tilled rows of the garden. I planted 2 1/2 rows of potatoes (a number of varieties) 1/2 row of purple cabbage, purple and yellow cauliflower, broccoli, kale, kohlrabi, corn, sunflowers, marigolds, fennel, dill, cilantro, beans and peas, cucumbers, squash and zucchini, tomatoes, and peppers. Some of those items may not be too successful. It’s hard to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and corn outdoors in Alaska but I thought it would be fun to try this year. Jeff put in some of the smaller seeds because he has more patience for them. He put in carrots, turnips, radish, beets, swiss chard, some more broccoli and bok choy (for me). Looking forward to seeing how our garden grows.
