My Alaska Life

I got up at 6am this morning and took the snowmachine up to a hill overlooking the Susitna River to watch the sun rise. The sun is rising about 6:30am these days. It was a little chilly still this morning – right about 32 degrees – so I got a little cold but it was well worth it. It was so pretty. This is also the spot where we can get a bar or two of cell service so I called an old friend who is 4 hours ahead of us, and watched the sunrise with her. We sent pictures back and forth. It was a nice way to start the day!
