My Alaska Life
Although ermine have a brown coat in the summer time, their coat turns all white in the winter. They are small animals around the size of squirrels but longer bodies. They are very curious and seem to like hanging out in the woodpile. This guy was very lucky to find the scraps my friend put out for the birds. Instead of eating it a little at at time though, like the birds do, he kept coming back again and again to get more to add to his stash in the woodpile for later so she ran him off. Pretty cute animal but can be Trouble with a capital T.
