My Alaska Life

Today was a windy, rainy day. In the afternoon flocks of tule geese flew by all afternoon heading downriver towards Cook Inlet which is said to be their breeding grounds in the summer. Each flock had 50 to 100 geese in them and all total today we saw about a thousand go by. Very strange. We had never seen so many geese in one day. I wonder what had them on the move?
